Twenty years after helping redefine the sound and energy of contemporary Gospel, two-time GRAMMY Award winner Tye Tribbett is returning to one of the defining moments of his career, this time with a new generation beside him.
V20: First Semester, a bold new live reimagining of his 2006 album Victory, arrives November 13 and is available for pre-order now. It is the first chapter of a two-part celebration, with the second expected in 2027.
“Twenty years later, the sound has grown, the testimony has deepened, and the victory still belongs to God!” Tribbett says. “To everyone who’s been singing these songs since day one, and everyone discovering them now, this celebration belongs to all of us!”
The project is led by “I Want It All Back” featuring ABLAZE, released October 9. Originally the opening declaration on Victory, the anthem returns as a passing of the torch from the generation that grew up on it to younger listeners hearing it for the first time. Guests across the album include Thaddaeus Tribbett, Delandria Mills Milan, ANTHNY, HLE and Wendi Henderson Wyatt.
