The stars aligned in Atlanta at the Coca-Cola Roxy on January 20, 2024, for the highly anticipated 2024 Urban One Honors. This year’s theme, ‘Best in Black,’ set the stage for an unforgettable evening honoring some of the biggest names in Black Hollywood. From a Lifetime Achievement Award to recognizing the next generation of talent, the Urban One Honors celebrated Black excellence in arts, media, music, and the community.

The 2024 Best In Black Honorees were a stellar lineup of influential individuals who have left an indelible mark on their respective fields:

The legendary Dionne Warwick was recognized for a lifetime of remarkable achievements. With an illustrious career spanning decades, Warwick’s impact on the music industry is immeasurable.

Chlöe, representing the next generation of talent, was celebrated for her contributions to the entertainment industry. Her presence on the stage signifies the promising future of Black excellence.

Honored as a Living Legend, Frankie Beverly brought his timeless contributions to the forefront. His enduring legacy in music continues to inspire and influence artists across generations.

Donald Lawrence, acclaimed for his Inspirational Impact, was acknowledged for his music’s significant influence on the industry and the community. His inspirational tunes resonate far beyond the stage.

The prestigious Entertainment Icon Honoree, Mary J. Blige, received recognition for her Grammy and Emmy Award-winning career. Her impact on R&B and Hip Hop, especially in elevating female artists, has been iconic.
