At the tender age of eight years old, Markithia began doing what she loves most, singing. She grew up singing in church and has encountered many opportunities through the use of her voice. Singing background for the likes of Vashawn Mitchell, Micah Stampley, Tasha Cobbs-Leonard and Jonathan Nelson, just to name a few, has led to Markithia singing from the heart of a pure worshipper. It shows all over her when leading people in a corporate worship experience. It’s as if the world stops and it’s just she and God. There’s really nothing like it!
You’ll get that exact same feeling when you hear her new debut single, “The Well”, which comes out June 7th. The lyrical content is very concise and spot on, reminding us how we should be more like the woman at the well in John 4. It’s also sung with a pure spirit and heart, which is just the true representation of who Markithia is. The song gives us an accurate account of the story, which is, just like the woman at the well, no matter what you’ve done in your life, God forgives. He can and will still use you to bring others into the knowledge of Him.
Make sure you get the single on June 7th and remember her name. Markithia Haynes.
She is here to stay!
