According to reports, singer Tori Kelly was rushed to the hospital on Sunday night due to the presence of severe blood clots.
While having dinner in downtown L.A., Kelly experienced a rapid heart rate, leading to her losing consciousness “for a while”, as revealed by a source to TMZ. Concerned about her condition, her dinner companions promptly drove her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Subsequent medical examinations unveiled blood clots in Tori Kelly’s lungs and legs, prompting a medical team to investigate the possibility of clots near the Grammy-winning artist’s heart.
According to TMZ, Kelly has been experiencing fluctuations in consciousness while in the hospital and is currently under intensive care at Cedars-Sinai.
The L.A. Times reports that they contacted Kelly’s representatives for a statement on the matter.
Kelly had a performance planned at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood on Friday. However, there is no information available yet regarding whether the show will proceed as scheduled or be canceled/postponed due to her current health condition.
The talented “Nobody Love” artist had a noteworthy journey at the Grammy Awards, receiving a nomination for Best New Artist at the 58th Grammy Awards in 2016. Subsequently, she earned Grammy wins for her single “Never Alone” and her gospel album “Hiding Place” in 2019. Recently, her holiday album “A Tori Kelly Christmas” garnered a Grammy nomination in 2022.
